Scholarships for GATE qualified candidates: As per the norms of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), all the GATE qualified candidates receive a Post Graduate Scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- per month.
Endowment Scholarship for Non-GATE Students: The Endowment Scholarship for Non-GATE Students is designed to support the top 40% of eligible students in each program, offering scholarship amounts of up to Rs 1 lakh. A list of eligible programs is provided below for reference.
Merit Scholarship for Non-GATE Students: The Merit Scholarship for Non-GATE Students awards the top 30% of eligible students in each program, providing scholarship amounts of up to Rs 1 lakh. The examinations are conducted in an online mode, which include computer-based testing, which provides students with the flexibility to take the tests from anywhere, according to their preference. The structure of these examinations includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), where each question presents four different options, and students have to select the correct answer. The total duration for most of these examinations is typically set at 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which candidates are required to answer a total of 100 questions. Each correct answer is rewarded with 3 marks. However, there is a penalty for incorrect answers, resulting in a deduction of 1 mark for each wrong response, commonly known as negative marking. In order to enhance their time management skills and gain a better understanding of the various types of questions that may be asked during the actual examination, students are strongly encouraged to understand the exam pattern properly by actively engaging in practice sessions with mock tests and reviewing previous year’s question papers. This preparation can significantly contribute to their overall performance and confidence on exam day.
