Bharati Vidyapeeth (deemed to be a university) was established in 1964 by Dr. Patangrao Kadam with the mission of bringing about intellectual awakening and the all-round development of the people of our country through education. Bharati Vidyapeeth has established academic excellence and offers programs in innovative and emerging areas.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBA: Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university.
  • BBA: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • BCA: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with mathematics as a subject.
  • MCA: Graduation in BCA or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
  • MSW: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • BA: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Bharti Vidhyapeeth University Examination SystemStudent Information Guide

Bharti Vidhyapeeth University's online examination system offers online students the flexibility of giving examinations at designated centers or a preferred location of their choice through online proctoring.

Exams for all online programs at Bharti Vidhyapeeth University are proctored online using cutting-edge technology. Internal and external examinations are part of the exam pattern. Internal (assignments) weightage is 30%, whereas external (end-of-term examinations) weightage is 70%.

Proctoring (At your preferred location) - In Online proctoring, students need to give their exam at their preferred location, provided the following:

Online Examination Process

  • Report 15 minutes prior to your scheduled slot at your designated examination center
  • Check your PC and request Centre Coordinator to provide you with the assigned access key.
  • Login and put your access key to start the exam.
  • Examination will start and stop as per scheduled slot in your Admit card.
  • If candidate is delayed by 15 or more minutes after the commencement of examination, he/she will not be allowed to take the examination.

The marks structure of any subject in distance education is 70:30, which means at the end of the semester or year, the student has to submit assignments that are for 30 marks and face the semester or yearly exam, which is for 70 marks. Answers to the assignments should be handwritten. Students should submit the assignments in person or by post to the respective study centre. Students have to appear for the examination at their respective study centres only. Students must choose those study centres while applying for the course.

But in the recent regulation, the UGC has given equal status to regular and distance modes of education, which means that while looking for employment, students may appear for an interview without hesitation because of the distance mode’s reorganization.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth’s School of Distance Education offers 21 courses in the social science, commerce, law, and management fields. Different programmes have different eligibility criteria. For example, you must pass the 12th grade exam in order to enrol in bachelor’s programmes like BCA,BA, B.Com., BBA, etc., whereas you must graduate to pursue master’s programmes like MBA, MCA, MA (Eng), M.Com, etc. When talking about law programmes, any degree from a recognised university is fine for admission to LAW programmes like DTL, DLL & LW, etc
